When I create art, I get much of my inspiration from mythology, classic literature, ancient history, listening to instrumental music, watching films, or admiring classical art.
Once I have a vision in my head, next comes the research. I try to put as much authentic detail into my work in order to ground my painting into a real-world atmosphere. Models and still life objects are always used for reference which adds another layer of realism to my art. When I select a medium, it usually is the one I feel will best compliment my vision.
Below are my current works in progress. I follow my Muse wherever she leads me, even when it means that I step away and take a break from a piece of art that I am working on. Usually, when I come back to it, I gain a fresh perspective and it motivates me to finish it.
